Carroll Gardens

South of Cobble Hill and North of Red Hook lies Carroll Gardens. A beautiful historic neighborhood that draws its name from the 30-foot-deep front yards that line the street with stately brownstones & townhouses, creating a sense of quiet peacefulness and private space. Originally known for its Italian-American heritage Carroll Gardens has welcomed many French residents who add to its European flavor. The neighborhood offers everything from farmer’s markets, bakeries, butchers, and cafes on both Smith and Court Streets, blending traditional mom-and-pop shops with trendy boutiques while the side streets showcase tree-lined picturesque homes. It’s compact and walkable yet offers something for everyone. You’ll find scenic parks filled with strollers, and the streets with bicycles. Carroll Gardens flaunts its desirable quality of life year-round, while cocktail bars and Michelin star restaurants offer a variety of options in the evening.
